The Origin Story of AgriSciense

Joshua, Narendra and Sudip were participants in the Singapore Deep Tech Alliance, a deep-tech incubator fostering innovation in Singapore. All three individuals shared a common goal: to create an impactful project. Consequently, they began engaging in discussions about various pressing issues.

Agriculture emerged as a focal point where their interests aligned, prompting them to delve into the challenges faced by farmers and other stakeholders. They conducted extensive interviews with individuals across the agricultural value chain, including farmers, growers, producers, distributors, and traders.

Through this research, they identified a myriad of issues plaguing the agriculture industry. It became evident that labor shortages and pest infestations were among the most significant challenges encountered by farmers worldwide.

Undeterred, they persisted in their research and discussions, recognizing the vast potential within the AgriTech industry, despite its fragmented nature. While building a profitable business presented its own set of challenges, they viewed it as an opportunity to effect substantial, global change.

The team collectively resolved to become pioneers in addressing the global pest issue, laying the groundwork for what would become AgriSciense.
